Finally managed to work out how to post pics, after a few teething problems)

Id really love any advice on how to get a photo at night without overexposing the windows, id love to know how to get some internal detail of the rooms. Cheers guys.

Problems, problems, problems! I would suggest Chris that to start off with you could 'bracket the exposures' ofthe house and see where that gets you. You could also try turning the ceiling lights off and just use lamps. Maybe you have dimmer switches fitted and you could adjust them? Hope this helps to start you off!

Hi Chris
Welcome from a fellow lanc. (Burnley).
To get the inside detail that you want, you need to take at least 2 exposures and blend them in a software program. Expose 1 for the inside detail and 1 for the darkest area outside ( a couple more shots in between would be ideal too). Night shots are never easy as it can have a vey high dynamic range (bright and dark parts).
