This is the first bug I've seen in the garden this year. Taken with a Nikon D5100 and an old Chinon 28-50 zoom fitted in reverse, popup flash, 1/200 sec, f11, iso 100. Looking forward to the UK weather warming up a bit to get more bug pics
For using the pop-up flash these aren't bad at all! I think you should try to educe the shutter speed a bit to expose for the background a bit more, and it would be worth trying to diffuse that light a bit. The first is a terrific composition!
