thanks. yes, the Tamron SP24-135 is really a very good lens, quite underrated in my opinion. it focuses down to about 10" at 135mm, and the clarity, at least on an APS sensor, is excellent. for my money, it's as good as the Canon 24-105L, at a third the price. it doesn't have image stabilization, but in this focal range, that's not really an issue.

Nicely caught! Lovely and sharp, and I like the fact that the yellow of his stripes match some of the yellow in the flower (Although I guess that was more down to luck!).
