Beginner how can I achieve this ?

Hi all,

Very new to all of this, recently purchased a d5300 standard lens 18-55mm

And was wondering how I achieve this effect or what I would need to achieve this.

Welcome to TP

The effect in those pictures is a combination of longer shutter speed that provides the blurred movement, and flash that freezes it. Easily done, but like all these things takes a bit of understanding and practise to get right.

Managed to have a play and have come up with some decent results. Thank for the advice
