How can I transmit TV signal via Broadband?

I wish to transmit TV programmes both recorded and running live over broadband from one room to another in the house. Is that possible?

You have internet TV players - I player for BBC, 4od, ITV player. You can also buy a TV tuner for your PC, record TV programmes and share.

Afraid not. Your best bet would be a slingbox.
It allows you to watch tv from any source including sky or virgin. You can remotely control the box and watch any recorded stuff as well.

From one TV in sitting room downstairs to another in the loft. Tried using the usual Transmitter/Receiver setup but the signals fails to transmit high up in the loft.

Do you know if sling box works on a radio frequency that is 2.4GHz like a telephone or the transmitter/Receiver setup?
