How can I view raw image as icon in folder?

How do I do this?

At the minute I have to take raw and jpeg so I know which image is which before opening it.

So how can you view the icon as a thumbnail pic?

I'm sure there is a codec or something you can download from MS which enables you to see RAW thumbnails in Explorer and presumably Picture Viewer as well. I have never bothered myself as I always use Faststone.

Edit: Doesnt seem to support windows 7? Failed to install for me anyway! What OS are you running?

It shows thumbnails in explorer. It worked find for me with the 450d, before I got a Mac that is

Faststone works with NEF files. If you want to see NEF thumbnails in Windows Explorer you need this:
