Yes
to choose new kit?????

Having recently come into a bit of unexpected disposable income, I decided to upgrade my kit.

That was the easy bit!!

Present kit is a Canon 30D, sigma 17-70 f2.8-4.5, sigma 70-300 f4-5.6 APO etc.. Nice bit of kit, but want something better.

I have read review after review and scoured the forums until my eyes are bleeding and my head is spinning. Have decided on kit several times only to change my mind again.

Anyway, my final decision is:
Canon 7D

Canon 24-70 f2.8L (borrowed this lens and used it on the 30D and was blown away by it)

Canon 70-200 f4L IS usm (considered the f2.8 non IS and Siggie versions, but weight is a major factor)

Tamron 10-24 to cover the wide end.

Speedlite 580 exII to be added soon.

I also decided to support my local independent retailer and order all the gear from him. He has dealt in telescopes and other optics for years and branched out into cameras having just got the Canon dealership.
This means I have paid a little more than I needed to, but I think it's worth it to keep the independents going.

So I am now chomping at the bit, waiting "patiently" for my new toys to arrive.

I do hope I'm not gonna be disappointed!!!
