How do I put multiple images on one canvas

Does anyone know how to put mulpitle images on one canvas. I am using adobe cs2. Please help its driving me mad.

Create a new doc the size of the final image.
Open an image you want to go in the larger doc.
Edit > Select All
Edit > Copy
Switch to the larger doc
Edit > Paste

Rinse, repeat for each image. By default the pasted images will be centered on the larger doc so use the move tool to reposition them.
