How do you check shutter count on a 7D

Upload a recent picture and upload to myshuttercounf.com

Cool. I couldn't find one that supported the 7D which surprised me.
This will give me peace of mind when looking for one :) Thanks (y)

Erm ... At this moment, MyShutterCount.com supports Nikon's NEF, Pentax's DNG and PEF format. Of course, JPG format is also allowed to upload.

;)

Yeah, I did notice that. I was wondering if it will take a jpeg from a 7d and work ok

I just tried it ( out of curiosity) and no.
There used to be a free canon programme but it seems there is no longer.
Well its well "hidden" if it still exists, I can't find it.

The only one I could find that worked with my 7D was eoscount.com, but it's not free :(

I guess the answer is don't reset the file numbers :D

Or use the memory cards in other cameras.... :p
I am not as rich as you and only have one camera, that's not and issue for me :p
But does it though? I thought the shutter count / file number per camera would remain constant?
I format my cards each time I have used them, but the file numbers start from where they left off.

I used eosinfo on my 40D, no problem, but I don't think it supports the 7D.
Eosinfo got wiped after a windows reset :(.
I really should download it again, but it won't help with my current issue.
