Can anyone advise please: I was taking, I thought, my CP filter off the other day when I discovered that I had only taken the glass section off and was left with a long thin piece of metal/wire plus the screw in bit that had fallen in love with with the filter I keep on the lens for protection and did not want to be separated from it.
I managed to separate them after putting in the fridge for a few hours and eventually to clean all the grease that was in the CP filter off the protection filter but cannot get it back together again.
