How does this look?

Assuming it's all in reasonable condition then £570-600 would be a fair price. Be aware that some of the filters listed won't be usable on the rest of the kit being sold....I guess he's just bulking it out a little.

I don't think I'd be interested at that price as I wouldn't be interested in that the lens. I had a quick look and you can get a new 1000D twin lens kit for less that the £499 current bid.

PS. 40D's start at £429 at Ffordes. I think I'd rather buy from them and get a warranty and pick another lens.

Also, where is the 1000D package you talk about?
 
But there's a hell of a difference between a 1000D and a 40D, it's hardly an "Apples for apples" comparison is it ?

Find a used 40D on line, maybe even here, and add a couple of lenses & a flash unit to it.

The main difference is probably control layout and handling and some may prefer the smaller body....I managed with one (300D) and they're worth considering anyway rather than an overpriced one on ebay with a soso lens.
