How good is the canon 18-55 IS

I have no example pics but it is widely regarded as being a significantly superior optic than the non IS version.

Hi,

review HERE on a 350D and this one HERE is on the 50D.

I owned one for a few weeks and was fairly impressed with it compared to the bog standard version, ok it will never compete with say the 16-35L and 17-40L etc but for the cash that it can be bought used now it's not a bad buy at all and I felt it was a definite step up from the non IS version.

Good lens for th emoney - IS is meant to be better than non IS. Finding mine pretty poor in low light, but thats to be expected!
