How hard is it to wet clean 5D sensor?

I've watched a number of videos and read loads of posts now. I'm intending on following this guy's video where he uses the swabs:

Slightly scared as it's my first time cleaning it, but I think the person who I bought this camera off did not do a great job (there is a smear on the sensor). I have tried the rocket blower, but that didn't get rid of it, so I THINK this is the next step.

A lot of people have said that it's nothing to be afraid of, maybe it'd be good to get any tips/tricks/warnings before I go ahead.

Excellent choice of video to learn from ;-)

It's really as simple as that, just be careful and use common sense.
 
You'll wonder why you worried after trying it.
The only real pitfalls are low battery (but it won't let you do it) and getting too much fluid on.
Just two drops is enough.
Only proviso you need reasonable eyesight and steady hand.
In good light you can actually see most problem spots with the naked eye.
 
You can buy corner swabs, as featured in the video, makes it much easier to get into the corners after the main clean with a normal swab.
 
I use a slice cut from an old credit card and fold a Pac Pad around it. The slice of plasic credit card bends easily so you can't put too much pressure on it and it'll clean into the corners no problem. I just add one drop of Eclipse fluid, too much fluid can leave a smear.

Remember less is more with the fluid. Dont drown the pad and you'll be fine.

I dont have problems with the corners but I dont use PEC pads.
 
I was really scared at first but got back from a holiday and saw nasty dust marks on all pics in same place with different lens. Had a go and results were great. Just do everything slow and methodically.
