how long are camera guarantees these days?

Over the years I seem to recall two years could be had, or more but only if you paid. So what suppliers offer more favorable guarantees within the price and not being offered as optional extras?

I've bought a few items from Jessops over the years and I've bought their extended warranty (3 years) because on items costings quite a bit of money it seemed sensible especially as the ones I got covered accidental damage as well.

The price worked out at about 10% of the cost of the item which to me was very good, especially when contrasted with the usual 30% or more which others seem to offer.
