How lucky was that?

Yes
Well I was asking about old manual lenses for my Canon 50D yesterday, and was resigned to having a long search for something to try out - I'm not keen on Ebay and there aren't many shops near me except Jessops and the like.

Well, I popped into town today, and was drawn to the outdoor market for some reason. About four stalls in something caught my eye, three old looking lenses. I asked how much and was told £3 each. I tore the guys arm off! I wasn't sure what I was buying but thought what the heck, for that price it's worth the risk.

Anyway, they turned out to be M42 mount lenses which I know will work well with my camera on the correct adaptor (£2.49 - amazon)

Anyway, I now have a Jupiter 11A 135 F4, and two 58mm f2 - one is Helios and the other is a Chinon. Time will tell (waiting for the adaptors) if they're any good but for that money I'm chuffed to bits. If I'm happy I will be buying more if I can find them!

Try for the chipped adapter, it gives you focus confirm which makes it SOOOO much easier!
