How much better....

I know nothing about the ebay ones, maybe they're fine but if there is any doubt about their quality, will you be happy to leave your camera and lens sat on them? Redsnapper have a good reputation and deservedly so.
 
I don't suppose it makes much difference, but for now I only own a fujifinepix S4000 bridge camera. Not quite as heavy as a full-on DSLR.

The ebay ones look very smilar to me. I do know about the Redsnapper quality, I took delivery only yesterday of a tripod (complete with pan head) and I think it's rather good. But £60.00, as opposed to £ 20.00, for something that, for all intents, looks very similar... I was just wondering if they are worth the 3X cost?
 
If its from China, its very likely a copy of something already on the market. They seem to copy everything, even cars!
While it may be as good as the original, you have to ask yourself are you prepared to take that risk?
If it goes faulty, are you going to send it back to China or just buy a new one.
Personally, I would go for the RedSnapper one, at least you have a proper warranty with it.

How heavy is your gear you are planning to mount on the head? For £60 you can geta Manfrotto 496rc2 or you could go for the 494 for around £40. I have a 494 and it used to support my Canon 40D + a Sigma 120-400mm no problem and the build quality is second to none.
