How often do you get your sensor cleaned?

No
I sometimes find dust spots on my photos if I am using a higher aperture and have previously sent my camera to a local store to get it cleaned for £30 which looking at other places is pretty reasonable. I am just wondering how often other people get there sensors cleaned if they ever do or if anyone on here does it themselves.

I had got a tiny blower that could shift a few bits of dust but received a Giotto (sp?) Rocket Blower for Christmas and it is so powerful that it shifted everything!! I was amazed at the power it has for shifting dust etc. It was 9quid from Curry's. :)

Clean it myself, whenever it needs it (usually two or three times per year). Wet clean with a swab. It's quite painless if you give yourself the time and space to make a proper job of it.

Several threads on sensor cleaning on the forum (what with, how often, how, etc.).

I'm to afraid of doing it myself but it is something I think i might look into in the near future. Might just see how effective a rocket blower is

do it myself very easy bought a kit for the same price as one clean, about 3 yrs ago still using it. hth mike.

Depends, when I start seeing a lot of dust specs then that's when I get my dust blower and wet cleaning kit out and just try to clean it.
If I see one dust spec in just a small number of my photos I tend to not really worry as actually it's really hard / impossible to get the sensor 100% clean.

want some lessons happy to help ;)

When it needs doing! I'm another blow then LensPen SensorKlear user. My D700 also has a self clean option which seems to have been enough so far!

As and when needed - use a Lenspen sensorklear which works a treat and easy to use

Never

Thankfully both my bodies have sensor cleaning and it seems to do a good job. Used to clean my 1D MkIIN only when the spots started to become a pain.
