How the hell do you get hold of Canon Elstree?

My 5D's mirror fell off (again), and I need to get it fixed, but it seems impossible to find a number that works for Canon Elstree - they all take you to a general Canon support line which sounds like it's in India.

I've tried asking them for a direct number, but the number they give me just takes me back to the general support line. I could try one of the other service centres on the list, but I have heard that Canon Elstree is meant to be the best one.

Anyone have any bright ideas? I found some old threads on here but the same thing happened.

According to www.saynoto0870.com, the number for the customer servive and repair centre is 0208 731 4100
 
Thanks, useful site - I think I've tried that one but will have another go.

Just realised from another thread that I can probably join CPS, that might get things moving. :)
 
When you get through on the general help line, IIRC therfe is a press 1 for support, 2 for something else. Press 2 - that takes you to Elstree. I think the 0208 number works (it looks correct from memory)
 
Oh and BTW they shouldn't charge you for that repair, it's a known fault.
