Hello all,

I have decided to learn to write mobile apps. For my first masterpiece I have decided to write a depth of field calculator for android and iPhone. It should he relatively straightforward to do which is why I picked this.

Do you use such an app? How could it be improved? Hoping for feedback that I can incorporate in to my app.

Thanks,
Dub

Ive been bashing around three different DOF calcs and the things I like best are ease of use, the ability to program in my cameras and lenses and for super ease of use, diagrams.
I find that the way numbers are chosen is not so swift. Meaning, is like a different way if picking....not a flickable one or one that uses the keypad on the individuals device. Take a look at what's out there. How would you like to improve or differ?

To be honest there is a free one that does exactly what you want called:

Simple Depth of Field Calculator

the fact it is free and works makes the thought of making another not that god a prospect if you ask me.

What would be cool though is once the hyperfocal distance was calculated some way of using the iphone camera to survey the scene and show you where that distance is on your scene - is that possible?
