Does it have to be $$$ - I have some £££ and €€€ lying around...
 
Cant see it worth the bother tbh, the results seem ..... Meh at best, you'd struggle to crop a usable bit out of it.

Cool DIY lens - I really like these sortso threads. Especially when you get togs who then use the idea to capture lots with it.

Concept searching for a use - basically, find a lens of some sort, mount it in front of the camera in some way and see what happens;

see also: magnifying glass, grandad's glasses, bottom of a glass/bottle etc.

But.............if it makes interesting pictures??

Speak with your local spectacle maker and ask them for any "gash" lenses (ones that have a flaw or scrtch, or are slightly off power) They also have a tool to grind it to a nice diameter, and even put a groove in it, or bevel on it!
 
what about CHF?

good read - quality of shots isn't that great though (price vs quality i know)
