How to make a slideshow on a mac

Hi

This is one area I am struggling with. With PC I used to use photogold but they do not encompass the mac world. I have Ilife09 but it seems so complicated - or is it me who has not made time to read the instructions lol.

I know you can just click the slideshow but how do you then get this onto DVD to play on a TV dvd player?

Any tips gratefully received

If you want something more than just a plain powerpoint style, just four steps...

1. Open iMovie
2. Create New Project and pick a theme
3. Drag Photos into Project Window
4. Press Play

and when you want to export it to share, just select Export from the Share menu and pick your poison.
 
iDVD is probably easiest.

Very, very easy to do, just the same as outlined above. I've made several discs for friends/family and really just picked it up myself as the software is mostly self-explanatory.
 
thanks chaps. Looking at iMovie. The transitions - is there any way of having a varied set of transitions or do you have to edit each slide. When it comes to making a dvd for the TV which export mode would you go for?

With Idvd can you give me some clues as to how you do it Deckard
