How to Set D3200 to Always Use Self Timer?

How do I pre-set my Nikon D3200 to always use the self-timer? It's a pain to have to keep selecting self-timer. I'm using the manual setting and using a tripod. I need the self-timer to prevent shake.

Thanks

I'm not sure that you can. Better to get a wireless remote. They are not that expensive.

Thanks, I already came to that conclusion. Except I've gone for a wired remote, as I think I have to be in front of the camera to use the wireless? I'm usually behind the camera...

You are better off using a wired intervalometer/timer IMHO. I always use one . Reduces any camera shake and improves shots.

You don't necessarily have to be stood in front of the camera to use the IR remote. I have successfully used them when stood behind but slightly to the side of Nikon cameras in the past (D40, D90 to name a few) and simply pointed the remote ahead of the camera. the little IR sensor should still see the beam of light from the remote and trigger the shutter.

I've got an IR remote that's not needed any more. PM me and it's yours FOC :)
