I have just purchased a 7D Mark 2 and currently deciding between a Tamron 150-600 or a Canon 100-400 II. What was swaying me towards the Canon and the 3X price tag is the build quality and weatherproofing of the Canon however living in not so sunny West Wales sudden rain is to be expected.
How much better is the weatherproofing likely to be on the Canon compared to the Tamron?
On a separate note I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who went to the Tamron after considering the Canon also.
