Hoya HD polaring filter warning.

Would you be able to post up a pic of it? It would be good for others to see the problem too.

Have been using Hoya Pro1 filters for years and never had a problem with one before.

Just out of interest, where was the Hoya filter bought from? IIRC there were some fakes around a while back on a well known auction site.

I doubt a photograph would show the crazing, unfortunately. You have to look at it at a certain angle to see it. It could easily be mistaken for something on the outer surface until you realise it can't be wiped off. As you rotate the filter you can see the markings rotate with the glass.

I can't remember where I bought the filter from to be honest; but I'm usually careful about where I buy filters from. Doubt it would have been *b*y.

Interestingly my first HD polariser, which got damaged, does not show the same problem, or at least to nowhere the same degree. But then its been sitting a drawer for 3 years!
