Has anyone any used or heard of this type of filter before as I've just noticed it whilst looking for a filter for a Nikon 28-70mm..

So was wondering in what they actually do.. Do they work as a CPL as well as UV.. do you still have to turn it :shrug:

If it's a polariser, you will have to rotate it to control the effect. There is no point in fitting a UV filter with digital - there is one already fitted over the sensor.

I should maybe add that the Hoya HD is top of the range and quite expensive, but worth it and not nearly as expensive as the reviewer on the link seems to think. Hoya Pro-1 also v good. Amazon is usually cheapest for filters.
