HTC Desire HD?

So what do people think about this phone? Good or bad?

The big screen looks great, viewing photos etc. Also surfing the web must be nice. The maps looks nice, could be useful while traveling.

I'm looking to update my phone and this phone looks very promising. Looks like this phone does everything I expected my previous one to do.

Anyone using the older HTC Desire? Never had HTC phone before so I don't know what to expect really.

Accurate review below about battery plus the phones speaker isnt great in quality, hopefully this has been rectified on the HD?

Their owners rave about them, iPhone users take the p**s out of them, and they get very good online reviews.

PC Pro has a fairly realistic review here:

and they are usually spot on with their phone reviews. Bear in mind that the review was written before the iPhone4 came out, but if you like HTC that probably wont matter to you.

Friends of mine that have them love them.

(sorry - that's all based on the non HD version!)

I think its going to be great, but preordered mine at the begining of september and am still waiting. Delivery into the UK is delayed, and i can imagine that there is a huge backlog of orders.

Sold my iphone 3gs last month in anticipation, have been living on a Nokia 1100 for a month, so cant wait Myself! I just want that "Dispatched" email now
