HTC Sensation XE - Help

Hi all andorites..

Need help. Upgraded yesterday from iPhone to HTC sensation. As much as I like it, really baffled with its complexity and personalisation.

Right my question is around Contacts on HTC. Apparently, l had my contacts synced from google automatically when I logged on google during initial set-up. Now stupidly, also decided to transfer contact from iPhone to HTC via bluetooth. So now I have got all duplicates. Happy to just keep the google contacts, but is there a way to delete the phone contacts all in one go instead of deleting individually?

Now also a related question is, will these google contacts stay at all times on my phone? Or will i lose it when internet connection is not available e.g. No wifi, no 3G etc.

Go to settings - applications - manage applications - all tab - manage contact - clear data

Not tried on mine but you should as if it finds duplicates it suggests to sync them on my desire s.

You can link contacts, ie link your google to your facebook or exchange contacts so that all the information is merged and they only appear once. You want to remove the iPhone ones though in this case.

Once synced, they are on your phone and available without internet connection. If you sign in to your twitter, flickr and facebook, it will join them altogether so you can view everything through one contact.

Sorry guys, a related question again. Think I am getting old for this stuff now.

Accidently merged facebook contact this morning. So have got loads of unwanted numbers now. Is there any one press button to delete all FB contacts?

Go for people, menu , view and unchecked Facebook. As for double contacts , phone should find that they are sane and merge them. If not clear data as advised earlier
