HTP on other canon cameras

Hi all,

I shoot with a 50d and have done the fixes in CT's thread to great effect.

I got wondering about HTP in other canon bodies as my mate bought a 450d yesterday and I noticed on the speil about it that it had highlight tone priority, would it be as damaging to the IQ as HTP was on the 50d I never knew about it when I had mine but it might be helpful to him and many members here to know about this.

I've never heard of HTP being a problem on any Canon other than the 50D.

Obviously you want to not go mental on it (assuming its got a setting for amount?) but it was designed for a purpose and works reasonably well apart from maybe on the 50D.
 
I've tried it a bit on my 450d and it seems to work ok. I turned it off a while back for some Astro work, and never turned it back on again... I probably should have done :D..
