I quite like the background Mark - just enough subtle shade changes for me. I think, perhaps, the branch is a little blown in the first two.

Hampshire County Council have a survey of House Sparrows on at the moment. They have declined seriously in recent years.

Thanks everyone.Sadly these do seem to be in decline throughout the UK. Not the most photogenic of birds but they brightened my dull day.

Always nice to see House Sparrows. I am lucky to have a small flock of them in the garden. Nice shots.
