I am petrified! One of the main things that worries me is if I have what it takes to be able to deal with whatever situation I find myself in. I know everything I need to know, and have all the right equipment (a 40D and Sigma 70-300mm DG Macro), but this is what I am worried about most.

How would you deal with the following situation at a wedding? How would you deal with making sure you convey it with your photography?

If it starts jumping, I highly recommend you mute it, walk away and return after 5 mins once it's played through. Then click play again :)

This part of the forums always has some sort of argument going on, and while I do understand that you wedding photographers feel passionate about your work, I feel that sometimes the part about 'getting married' is missed.

I'd be far too emotional to cover a wedding for real, and would only ever cover one without the B&G knowing I was. So it would be for friends or family only.

Can you remember getting married (if you are married?), can you remember feeling emotional and overwhelmed? If you try your very best to capture those feelings in your work, I think that is all the B&G could possibly wish for.

Yours ... Very much NOT a wedding photographer, but an emotional person who just spent a while blubbering after watching that clip, remembering what it is really all about.

Jo xxx :D

*P.S sorry for blatantly lying to get you to look

Had a really emotional one yesterday Jo. Father of the bride is terminally ill and got out of the hospice to give his daughter away. Thank goodness for autofocus is all I can say there was a tear in my eye all right. I certainly made sure I shot as many as I could of Dad so the family have a memory to look back on. One I know is spot on. He was leaning over talking to his grandson in the church and smiling. Nailed it!

That album will be taking priority so we get it back for him to see.

:) Ali, I am sure they will be overjoyed! I'd love to see the shot some time ;)

Great fun and very entertaining, but sadly I can't see many of the vicars around here going for it.
Thanks for sharing it though.

That clip is absolutely brilliant. Made me smile .... alot.
But the comment above is right, i doubt many vicars in this country woudl have that, my god they moan if they are 5 minutes late, let alone take 5 minutes to get down the aisle.

Edit, theres no point in trying to photograph that wedding as it wont do it justice. I think over 8m hits on Youtube does that !!!

Ironically its Chris Brown who sang that, and im not 100% sure theres any woman that would want to marry him now !!!
