I love these guys. They are so funny. I love the composition but think you could play with the lighting a bit to really bring him out. They're relatively still life should recommend them to a few minutes of play with some lighting.

Well thanks for the comments and advice.
The lighting at the time was going to be tricky as the critter was behind an inch of toughened glass.
It was precious tough enough avoiding bounce back from the flash.

The toad was at a wildlife centre in Scotland.
I think the glass thickness was to stop small chilren from bashing the tank through.
Unless these toads are double hard!
