I found gold in my garden

Just out in the garden with my youngest playing on the trampoline when i heard goldfinches, they then landed on the aerial next door grabbed my camera and managed to get a few shots not brilliant i admit but was not expecting to see these in my garden made my day, and no i did'nt take the shots while on the trampoline.

Good for you! Now just go get some niger seed and a feeder and they'll come in flocks The photos are pretty good as well.

I'm in the process of trying to pursuade goldfinches to come to my new feeding station. They're such photogenic birds (see DougDarter's website )

Niger sprinkled on old Teasel heads is a little more natural for photo opportunities ... and they naturally look in these plants in the wild ... :shrug:
