As the title says, I was going to bed this morning and noticed the Moon looked quite nice in the blue morning sky, so I go my camera and tripod out. Because I normally shoot the Moon against a black sky I was checking the Histogram a bit more than usual. While I was looking at the Histogram, which shows a smaller image preview, I hit the zoom and was extremely surprised to find that as the image zoomed in, the Histogram redrew.
It seems like it was adjusting itself to the preview image which I didn't know it could do, and will come in really useful.
I had certainly never noticed or seen it mentioned anywhere before.
I'd exposed the Moon correctly once I'd zoomed in btw,
but it was so easy to see as the Histogram redrew.
It's nice when you find something your camera can do after 2 years of ownership .
