After hours searching the forum and looking at products Im stumped and so will just have to ask...

I want to be able to do two things
a) wireless ttl flash control
b) wireless shutter control with timer

I have found the pocketwizard and phottix odins to choose from, however neither have a remote control trigger with timer.

I can find remote triggers with timers but they all seem to be connected to the hotshoe...which the odin/pocket wizard would need....

any suggestions???? Im probably missing something really simple.
 
Can you explain what you want to use it for? I recently purchased a set of Interfit Titan Pro's. Much better build Quality than the Pocket wizard and half the price. This set is not TTL though. But to be honest I prefer shooting flash in Manual mode anyway, it's really straight forward and more consistant. This Radio Trigger also can be used as a Camera Shutter Release, So instead of using a timer you can remotely control the camera to get the shot you want. This will also save wasting valuable Shutter Actuations.
Let me know if you want the details of a good supplier.

Im looking to do the normal remote flash stuff, plus timed long exposures and combine the two in certain situations..:thinking:
 
I thought the PW Multimax could to timed triggers?
 
If you want radio remote E-TTL, then it's the PW Mini/Flex or Phottix Odins as you describe, or Radio Poppers. Though if you can make do with E-TTL on-camera (or cord) and manual on the remote flashes, the Phottix Strato II (now available at UK retail, see Intro2020) will do that for a lot less money.

For the remote camera trigger, lots of cheap options there. It needs to plug in separately to the remote cable socket, and fire on a different channel to the flash. The pics you've seen are probably flash triggers which also double-up as camera triggers with a cable. They shouldn't be fitted in the hot shoe.
 
Thanks for that, so If I go ahead with the ttl remotes for flash, where can I find decent wireless remote for the shutter with timer options? Are there any particular make better than another?
