I've the standard Nikon strap but its a not the most comfortable of straps.

I've seen a lot said for several of the well known straps ie Black Rapid, Lowepro etc.

Some hang to the front & some to the side. Being a noob I'm still unsure what my preferred camera position will be. Thus I do not wish to spend a large sum of money on a strap design that I decide I do not like.

Just looking at various designs I think I'd be happy with the hip worn style.

So (I've got to the question finally!) has anyone tried the Quick Rapid Sling Strap?

It looks like a copy of the Black Rapid. I'd rather try this before shelling out for the much more expensive one & then finding I do not like it.
 
I have one as well as a Black Rapid and it works just fine. The only problem I found was the connector, which I could not get a tight fit so get myself a D Ring. The strap does take a little getting use to but I love mine.

I have a Quick Strap - very comfortable and functional with space for 2 x CF cards and the plate allows the camera to hang at a better angle. Good quality albeit not as good as Black Rapid.
