I love this idea!

good idea.... only thing you'l need is to dig out some old photos....

Thats the one, and I just found it when I saw you had posted it Rob, thankyou!

am i having deja vu all over again  i'm sure me and Rob found this for you about 6 months ago Yv... and you didn't bookmark it did you! Consider yourself told off :D It's a good job Rob has naff all to do every day and he's got time on his hands ;)

Started doing something similar when my parents lived on the edge of Dartmoor - I was aiming for the four seasons - managed to get autumn and winter but then Mum had a subarachnoid haemorhage and I started using the A38 for speed rather than the pretty route over the moor.I was aiming for a quarter image of each season blended into each other. All were to be taken with a 50mm for consistency and The tripod was set up in as close as possible exactly the same spot each time. There is a distinctive tree on the horizon which was the central point as well as the point of focus. f/11 for DoF consistency, with the shutter speed to match according to light levels - no worries as to shutter speed - sturdy tripod!

I actually did bookmark, I was very good.... then my mac went up the swanny, and I had so few bookmarks, I never bothered transferring them over to the new one :$ You are right, you did and it is now bookmarked again!

Similar idea but mine was going to be Spring Summer
Autumn Winter.

Once I'm back on driving duties, I may well revisit the concept and start again - might even whack a few nails into the tarmac to make positioning the tripod more accurate! May even dig out an old tripod to dedicate to the project so I can leave it set up (apart from folding the legs in for transport) to improve consistency of viewpoint.

Might even expand it and do a few series like it but of different views - beach, agricultural land, garden. I'd like to do the same sort of thing in Crete but we're only there in early June, so not much variation! Could do day and night, I suppose - or use the fisheye and do sunrise, noon and sunset. Hmmmm.... got me thinking now! (Hard hats on, people - could be dangerous )

I'll try to ilustrate the concept again!
Spring...Summer
Autumn..Winter.

That should be better!

Not as much as I look forward to getting my DL back, I can assure you!

I suppose I could extend the idea to decay - an apple/banana or similar over a week or 2. Not sure I'd want to go down the meat route though -might attract rats and Maisie!

I've done this before..waaaaaay back when I was a student and I didn't have grey hair :( it's a lot harder than it appears to be. You have to match the focal length and field of view etc.
