Sorry, this is yet another one of those I am losing interest threads, in fact it is another from me, I am not expecting any replies this time encouraging me to get out there, I am simply just getting this off my chest :D

I think I have recently entered into another one of those periods (again) where interest in photography is lost for a while :( , I really must spend less time in OOF and more time in other forum sections. Although I have visited the welcome section a few times, lately I have not posted any serious pics, and I have commented on very few pics by others.:(

I could easily blame the weather but I'm not, my gear goes with me most times when I go out but I just look around and see nothing of interest worth getting my camera out for.
I believe I can take a decent photograph but I struggle at times on the PP, however, I do enjoy photography and get a real buzz when it all goes right:)

I have pm'd my tog buddy on here who has also not been very active lately and more or less said we have got to go out on a sortie next Sunday.
So I am going to try and spend less time in OOF and more time in other sections, and try and get my camera out the bag more, besides, I really must get my act together to justify the money I have spent.

Hesitates before hitting the submit button, expecting a few groans:lol:

Everybody goes through it fella, you just probably need, like the rest of us, some half decent weather and an hour with the camera to get the buzz back. :)

OOF?

Sorry to heat that, Mal. I'm sure you have many pictures of Willis and Toby already, but you can never have too many, can you? How about trying some different ones of them.
If its just your PS skills you're concerned about, send me a PM as I have something that might help. :)

Shouldn't this post really be in OOF? :naughty: :exit:

I'm suffering myself at the moment. I forced myself out of bed on saturday, even though it was raining, and drove 10 miles to a local hill and there, on the horizon, was a glorious sunrise, lovely orangey/gold with nice dark skies above, perfect. Spent a happy 20 minutes snapping and then realised I'd had the aperture set to f2.8. Made me very annoyed I can tell you. But its this type of stupidity and thoughtlessness thats winding me up. I keep doing the same stupid things and not learning from them.

Well 3 month on and I am now spending less time in OOF and have lately been out more, I have been posting more images, and, owing to the favourable comments for which I really do appreciate I have at last found my "mojo" and I am thinking of where to go and what next to do.:)

Thanks Guys:thumbs:

Congrats on the rediscovered mojo.
I'm up your way at the weekend to visit the parents - going out to the farne islands for the start of puffin and tern season. Have you been over there with your camera yet?

Never done the Farnes, the idea of getting across there in a small boat would not be appreciated by my tummy methinks .......:puke: :), hope you have a good time:thumbs:

In what part of Northumberland do your parents live ?.

You would be suprised by some of the boats - there are some small ones but there are some sizable ones too!

They live a few miles south of berwick, next to a place called Oxford Farm that is signposted off the A1.

I sometimes lose interest then buy something new  seems to happen alot actually but I've not been out much at all this year, I need to get my act together and get out moe also

stick with it, you will soon get back into the swing of things

:D I'm glad to see that photography forums have the same "sin bin" forum sections too - I thought that it was just music forums that had those ;)!

Before getting into photography, I was always on the Talk Bass forum, which was really entertaining and friendly. They had an "Off Topic" section, which basically had more trolls than "The Complete Works of Hans Christian Andersen" and earned it's regulars more bans and infraction points than all of the other forum sub-sections put together :nono:!

So, although I've never even visited the OOF forum here on TP, I can well imagine what it's like :naughty:.

Perhaps you just need to find some locations that you've never visited before, Galaxy66 !? That's usually enough to give one a fresh perspective on things.

I know the feeling Galaxy. I have'nt taken any shots for a while and some days I have no enthusiasm and I usually return home feeling dissapointed. You always know when you have taken a good shot and you always know when your SD card is full of cr@p aswell. I have a few days worth on my SD card that I have'nt bothered to look at yet. Maybe we are just too fussy because I find whenever I take a picture and I have under or over exposed areas I tend to get annoyed. Nothing annoys me more than loosing detail in the sky and I know some people love it when there is not a cloud in the sky, but I hate it when it comes to photography. Its all about clouds and all the fine details so having the perfect weather makes all the difference to me.
