I need a second lens to compliment what I already have

I recently bought a Sigma 150-500 OS HSM lens which I really like for its medium and long reach abilities, and even use it with a 1.4 TC for extra reach when needed, and it is used 90% of the time on a tripod.

However, I do feel there are occasions where light is challenging, and I'm working at shorter distances that a faster lens would be ideal, I think I am looking for a prime lens with maybe f2.8 aperture and 200mm or 300mm FL.

With Nikon there are a few choices:
- Nikon 70-200mm AF-S Nikkor f2.8G ED VR II - £1600
- Nikon 300mm f4 D AF-S IF ED - £960
- Nikon 180mm f2.8 D AF IF-ED - £618

The bargain seems to be the 180mm f2.8 and all of the above could also be used with my Kenko 1.4TC if needed. Is this any good, or are there better sugegstions?

I think my only concern is would these lenses do anything that the Sigma can't already do, other than having the faster apertures, which is what I feel is needed to give extra flexibility, but I don't want to then invest in these and then find the Sigma becomes unused.

Can anyone suggest a suitable choice that I can then work interchangeably with my existing Sigma. I predominantly do Bird Photography.
