So im doing a complete overhaul on all of my gear and im struggling to find a bag to fit my needs. Im starting to think im being too picky and need to make some compromises, after all no bag is perfect. Im planning on using this bag to carry the majority of my gear on weekends away, using it for travel, street and it will still be used when I go on walks for landscapes etc. Ideally it would need to be able to take on airlines as hand luggage, have easy access to camera gear on the sides and have room for a small amount of personal gear aswell.

It will need to fit a Fuji X-T1 with 18-135mm, 14mm, 23mm and 56mm, a Nissin i40 flash. As well as filters, batteries etc.

It would need to fit a 13'' Macbook Pro and possibly an ipad air2. would i get both in a 15'' laptop pocket?

I do have a small bag for taking just a small amount of gear out but need something to store the lot really.

something along the lines of the Tamrac Evolution 8 is what im thinking at the moment.

Any ideas? :)

I have both Lowepro Transit 250 and Lowepro Flipside 400, I love the transit as it combines everything that I need though the laptop compartment is a bit tight, you can get tons of stuff inside, also can accommodate extra large lens, I am sure it will fit eveything you have listed and the top compartment few more things on top. The above might be quie biased as this bag just fits my needs and might not be what you want, I would suggest go to a camera shp where they have few models try them out see if you like the quaity and the compartments etc...

yeah i need to im just unlucky enough to have no camera shops local to me, ill have to make a special trip. The problem i seem to have is finding a bag with the right balance of personal space or camera space. its either full bag of camera gear or a dslr with 1 extra lens or flash. Maybe I am just being too picky..

The transit is around 70% DSRL gear, 10% laptop up to 15", 20% other stuff, for the gear you want to carry definitely a backpack
