Went to a friends house last night to see a few camera bits and bobs he had and the trip has just left me wanting so much more stuff.

He had 2 5dMIIs and 2 1ds mkIIIs and a 1d.

I tried out the ilusive 85mm 1.2. Holy cow is that a lot bigger than my 85mm 1.8.

Tried the 70-200 2.8 IS, the 300mm f4, and pretty much every other L lens canon make below 400mm.

Damn him, must have been over 20,000 pounds worth of equipment sitting on the floor strewn about like they were just pieces of plastic. I reckon I could have got out of there with something without him even realising lol

Keep him as a friend! Loan equipment is better than no equipment ;)

Bah help thyself to a couple of items - the dollar is doing ok again now....

It only proves that you can never have 'enough'. It makes me wonder if there is anything your friend still has to have? Maybe suggest him a Leica S2 and Hasselblad to do some quick comparison?

 In that case, anyone got a Nikon 24-70 and an 85mm they don't mind loaning me for a few weeks :D

seriously though, you can never have 'enough', there will always be something better or different. If your mate is Pro, they are probably strewn around the floor because they simply tools to do a job.

You can borrow mine in exchange for some work...lol

Is this friend a prof Togger or just as a hobby?

started as a hobby but his gf and him are starting to do weddings and things now. Need to recoup all the money for all the stuff they bought!
