I have the following macro relevant kit:

Canon EOS 7D
Canon 100mm f2.8L Macro
Ring Flash
Nissin 622i
Hanhel wireless remote.

& have a very keen interest in nature & wildlife photography.

I understand the basics required to capture macro images but can anyone offer any further advice about how to improve my macro photography?

If you like shooting out in the wild 2 items come to mind.

Macro slider.. helps make those micro focus adjustments easier when using a tripod

Longer focal length macro lens, sigma 150mm or tamron 180mm, canon 180mm, anything that lets you get the shot from further away is a good idea out in the wilds.
 
I'd say your not doing too bad now, lovely pics you have there already.
