The BIPP regional awards ceremony was in London today and I couldn't attend due to work commitments, but I just found out that I won 3 awards including a gold!

I am rather chuffed at the result today, picking up 2 awards in the illustrative/abstract and one in the photojournalism category. :D

The national awards are just around the corner now, so I need to get my butt in gear and get the images from Cambodia finished up and entered.

Congrats - that's a big, big deal. Bet you're looking forward to the nationals? Although not my kind of images (although the light on the gas mask shot is excellent), I can see you can create a consistent style very well. Looking forward to seeing the cambodia shots - Enjoy the rum :)

Great shots as usual so well deserved. Please enter the Fashion and Beauty section next year as obviously they are lacking in entrants given the first three were basically the same shot; same style, same lighting and very similar pose

Kids in not well off Countries don't do it for me....

When ever I see photos from poor countries always feels like the Photographers trying to me on a guilt trip.

Flower and Kidknap are great though. Love those fella well done.

Trust me I am trying!! I still have another 2,400 to go through, but most of them are multiple exposures so its not all that bad...

I am really looking forward to it, although the cut off date of the 16th is looming very quickly, and I still need to process the images fully and then have them printed and sent... I am worried I wont hit the deadline, but fingers crossed!

Thanks mate :) To be honest, the last couple of months have been some of the worst of my life, but to have good news like this is a real buzz. I am slowly getting myself back on my feet and about to get back into the photography again. In fact, I have a photojournalism job in Guatemala and the Philippenes coming up in Jan and Feb, so I am looking forward to that big time :thumbs:

If you are there at the awards night, lets meet up for a beer!

Well, I am not really that good at fashion type stuff as I have never really tried to do it properly. I would like to give it a go one day, but I need to meet a really good hair and makeup artist first!
