I recon mine has been as wet as that in outdoor use and for a lot longer time too.

It's rainproof - and he briefly placed it under a running tap. It's not as though he immersed it in water which was what I was expecting from the comments.
I read on POTN that one pro had dunked his in the river a couple of times when shooting.

The key to remember is the water was not under pressure... ie not from a jet wash or deep water where the pressure is higher, under normal conditions that is nothing.
yup, its pressure that blows out and/or bypasses seals.
my 20D got a soaking the other weekend and just about survived with a few misfires and ERR99s lol

i agree, its water under pressure thats the killer....thats a hell of a leap of faith though...
Rain drops falling from 10,000 feet have got to penetrate rubber seals a lot easier than water falling from 10 inches!!!!!
