The Cardiff Devils play a few miles from me and i have been thinking about going and taking a few photos. Does anyone here shoot there? or shoot ice hockey? If so, do you have any advice?

Cardiff's not the best for a first-timer...there are limited locations to stand and it's dark, dark, dark.

That said...if you want to give it a go, you'd need some very fast glass (either f/1.8 or f/2) and a camera capable of quite a high ISO.

I'm also not entirely sure if photography is permitted at the Cardiff Arena.
 
I have an 85mm 1.8, though my 40D isn't exactly good with high ISO!
