I was given a short trip to Iceland to celebrate my 60th birthday.
(Many thanks to Chris, Vicki & Jim for the fantastic pressie!)
There was daylight for only just over 4 hours/day, but it was the night that was most impressive!

You didn't get a bad showing, did you Allan? Superb captures of the Northern Lights but, for some reason, #2 wins the day in my eyes! Well done!

thanks - it is amazing how many of the stars are lost in these compared to the originals - probably a result of compression.

The picture of the whole of the Harpa Reykjavík Concert Hall and Conference Centre shows how difficult it is to get a good vertical or horizontal on the close-up. It just goes to show what those architects do in the long dark nights of winter
