It didn't hang around long either... I don't think it like the flash blast...

Canon 450d, EF-S55-250, Raynox DCR250, Jessops flash and cd spindle ring flash

Anyone know what it is ? Thanks for looking.

Looks like an Ichneumon Wasp, very hard to get them to stay still for long....../Mikka

Well captured - I have one of these in the garden that taunts me continusouly...........still haven't managed to photograph it

Thanks Paul... I was actually patiently waiting for a hover to land... loads buzzing around... far too quickly.. when I spotted this... I managed to get 1 shot off... before it disappeared completely.
