I am looking to start photography and have decided that for a budget of £100-£150 that i would get a bridge, probs a fuji, is this a good idea? and which camera should i get?

Cameras from many manufacturers will produce good results and often whether any one of then is the right camera for you is down to which features are important to you, eg I want a camera that will shoot in RAW but couldn't care less about it being able to take videos, and how a camera feels in the hand.

I suggest getting a few photo mags. Almost all have minireviews by price. You'll be able to see comments on lots of cameras and get a feel of what is liked and what features they have, then Google for some in depth reviews.

your cant go wrong with any of the leading manufacturers, i would go to the jessops website and find all the bridge cams that sound right then try them out for handling and then narrow them down, finally go on google and look for some in depth reviews.

A used s9600 is about £150. great place to start.
