If money was no object....

I've got pretty much all I want. Maybe a 200-400f/4 VR and possibly a 300-800 Sigmonster. The Siggy 200-500 f/2.8 is a bit big but I may as well have one since someone else is paying!

All I really NEED (and can't buy!) is some talent.

A few years ago I had a very healthy business and money wasn't too much of a problem. I had pretty much all the gear I could wish far, barring the exotic. Most of it gathered dust whilst I earned ridiculous money.

Then I did the bankrupt thing and it all went.

I've now got a much smaller gear set and am building my new business up. As the business get busyer I get less time to enjoy the simpler things so ........

If money was no object I would like time to use what I've got. time to appreciate my kids and time to become a better person.

Be careful of wishing for material things, ownership can become the focus. Work towards not having to work.

As someone who was widowed at 40 I'll agree wholeheartedly that there are more important things in life.

But we can also dream. :) That's why I had the time in my wish list too.

And if you really don't lust after material things - not having to work is much easier. ;)

D700 and 200mm F2... plus a lot of other lenses to go with it... :D

I'm happy with what I have. :)

D300
16-80mm VR
70-300mm VR
50mm f1.8
SB800

But if I had unlimited money, I'd get a D700 for top quality and low light work, but only when I needed them 2 features.

I'd have a Macro lens, probably the Nikon 105mm VR.

A wide angle, (so I can stop borrowing my friends Sigma 10-20mm) the new Nikon 10-24mm if the reviews are good.

A SB900 just for the user interface, as the SB800 is a pain in the a*se.

I rented a Nikon 70-200mm VR a couple of years ago, and I found the lens too big, and not something I would like to carry around. :nono: The D300 is a nice weight and the D3 is just too big, hence the D700.

At the moment though I'm in the happy place of not lusting after anything, all the above is if money was no object, and I had to think hard for what I would like.
