Morning all, just awaiting the arrival of my new body and lenses but once its here this is what I've got out with me any opinions on anything I've missed or could add??

Lowepro Pro Runner 300aw
Nikon D750
Nikon 16-35 F4
Nikon 24-120 F4
Nikon 70-300vr
Samyang 14mm
Intervalometer
Lee Soft Grad 0.6,0.9
Lee Little Stopper

Manfrotto 055xpro / Manfrotto Befree

then just extra battery's, memory cards and cleaning bits and bobs........

So far the only things I've picked up on is a Lee Hard Grad 0.6 and a Lee Big Stopper
 
I would have gone for the 70-200 f4 plus a x1.4 TC but other than that nothing except a sling style strap.

Get referred to my hospital and I will get one of my colleagues to do it. I dont do spines though ;)
 
Howabout a Canon?!?!?!?!? :D
 
I would add some polarisers. Maybe a prime or 2 if you have any areas of special interest - maybe a fast 50mm, a UWA and a Macro?
 
The only prime I've considered this time round was a 50mm but still not convinced its for me, but yes maybe a Polariser could be useful

haha sorry @nickjohnwatson it had to be done!! no seriously I've got a little room left and just wondered if I've covered everything or wondered what other people would add.....

Speaking of which the Intervalometer just arrived from Amazon, decent quality and so easy to use and it looks like im going to receive my Nikon 16-35 f4 at some point today I have to say that's brilliant service 2 days from Hong Kong ;) just a shame it wasn't the body that landed first :(
 
I don't know what Nikon's offering is but the Canon 100m macro L is the sharpest thing I have. I would also like a wide prime for days when I want to be carrying something lighter but on those days I also have a Canon M or Fuji X20 to choose between. So maybe there's a possibility - quality compact or csc. I have been really impressed with the quality. I also have a panasonic GX7 and a few lenses and they have served me well on my travels and fit in a Thinktank retro 5 bag, including a 100-300. After a number of people very dear to me have been ill or died in recent times, I don't think you can have too many cameras and you can't take it with you. Hope that helps.
 
Hasn't the D750 got a built in intervalometer?

If it were me, I'd trade the 24-120 + 70-300vr for a 70-200 2.8 + TC, as someone else suggested. No point having so many overlaps. Throw in a 50mm prime to fill the gap. Just what I'd personally do, these things are always subjective.
 
Used to have a 24-70-200 f/2.8 pair but traded them in against the 24-120 which is slower but covers most walkabout needs. I personally find a reasonable overlap very handy since it reduces the need for lens changes (Nod's law states that a fitted lens is too short/long for the scene in front of me!) As Keith says, lens choice is subjective. The high ISO performance of the D750 does greatly reduce the need for faster lenses unless you're after the shallow DoF they offer over the slower ones.
