If you could only have one lens.....

Since I am primarily a wild life (bird) photographer I will have to go with the 500mm f/4.0. However, I would loath to give up my 85mm f/1.2L.

My first "real" camera was a 7 series Canon rangefinder with a 50mm f/1.4 lens. (camera was manual everything) Basic stuff. You really can't go wrong with the standard 50mm lens. There was an optional 50mm f/0.95 lens available for the camera at twice the price of the camera with the 50mm f/1.4. Now that was one funky camera.

Now a bit better off in the lens dept. but probably my 16-35mm 2.8L as long as I am using a small sensor. When I go full frame I will definitely be up for a bit of prime 50mm!

Nikon 70-200 f2.8 VR.

And if I was one of the dark sides then it would be the 28-300 IS.

King.

its a tough call - canon 85mm f1.2 or nikon 10.5mm fisheye.........

uhhh i just dunno.

If it had to be from my current bag? I'd actually choose my Sigma 24-70 f/2.8 EX over the 70-200 f/2.8 L IS :bonk:

I guess I should really think about switching things around ? Maybe a 24-70 f/2.8 L and a Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 EX
